Role of Fear in Human Evolution
Fear has played a central role in the evolution of humans. We are the descendants of those humans who were cowardly. The ones who were bold deteriorate.
They go out hunting at night. Lions, bears, and wolves annihilated them. Snakes snapped them. Rather the coward ones who fearful of darkness sitting in the caves protected them and their families from all predators and environmental hazards.
They survived and propagate and keep their lineage continuing. Fear has played an important role in the survival of animals as well.
For example with the arrival of Homo sapiens in Australia, we saw a drastic transformation in its fauna. It majorly includes Diprotands and large marsupial mammals. They were the dominant species of the area. But on the arrival of Humans, lords of hunting previously living in Africa, Aisa, and Europe.
They turned them down. They didn’t have time to get funk of humans. Because of that, it led to their extinction. But back in Africa the megafauna over time acquired to fear humans and avoided them. So they survived.
Organisms unable to adapt were less likely to survive. They could not continue their gene pool. He came across many threats.,the struggle of maintaining homeostatic warnings and fear of predators had gifted them the intelligence to survive.
By which an organism can reduce local threats and adjusts itself to changing environment.
